A while ago I had the opportunity to watch a film that is 43 years old, but still as relevant today as it was back then – On Any Sunday.
Directed by Bruce Brown, the cameras follow the trials and tribulations of motorcycle racers across America competing in various types of races like motocross, Grand National racing, desert, and speedway races.
Steve McQueen along with other famous racers like Mert Lawwill as well as Malcolm Smith, from the late 1960’s and early 1670’s are featured in the documentary.
There have been several follow-ups produced, but I haven’t seen any of them. Recently I became aware of the latest release, titled ‘On Any Sunday, The Next Chapter‘, which is produced by Dana Brown, Bruce Brown’s oldest son.
If you’ve seen this documentary, or any of the follow ups, let us know what you think in the comments box below.
